The Lakewood Police Department offers our deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and colleagues of Detective Corporal Phil Sickinger of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office.
Phil’s passing yesterday, after his courageous fight with ALS, is a tremendous loss to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Over his 19-year career, he served with pride and was a valued member of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team for 15 years.
Phil’s dedication, strength, and friendship will be remembered by many. Please keep the Sickinger family in your thoughts as they navigate this difficult time.#rip
