On Sunday October 3, 2021, The Lakewood Police Foundation hosted an amazing event in memory of GLENN SOULTHORPE a friend of the Lakewood Police Department and the entire Lakewood Community. This event was a baseball tournament with the Lakewood Police Department’s (LPD) league against the Lakewood Baseball Association (LBA).
Ben Inzelbuch, the LPD Foundation President and Community Affairs Liaison ensured this event was memorable with the help of the corporate supporters, team sponsors and all who attended to show their support for a great cause. The game was a huge success and will be a way for the foundation to help many great causes for years to come.
As per Chief Gregory H. Meyer, “This was a great cause for Glenn’s family and the game highlighted the great relationship the police has with the community – and was evident from the smiles on the attendees’ faces”; “We’re also glad the trophy came home with the winning team – LPD”. – {LPD (27) vs LBA (17)}.
