PAYING RESPECT FOR THOSE WHO MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE

(photo array) On Wednesday May 13, 2020, Chief Gregory H. Meyer wished safe travels to his riders and riders from Nutley Police Department, and Burlington Township Police Department; as these agencies with their police motors joined in on a memorial venture to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC.

Since the 2020 Police Unity Tour to Washington DC was cancelled due to the impact of the Covid-19 virus, and restrictions slowly are being lifted on the stay at home orders; Lakewood’s Police Traffic Safety Unit felt that riding down to the memorial, paying their respects and then returning back home would be a safe way to show their respect for those officers and their families that made the ultimate sacrifice. *Riders will be following all safety procedures to ensure a safe ride.
