DRUGS
January 2, 2025, Officers Adam Rihacek and Leonardo Shimonovich were dispatched to a home under construction for an unknown male trespassing and locked in one of the bedrooms. The officers entered the residence and found Freddy Aguilar-Lopez, 37, of Toms River, N.J. inside the residence. Aguilar-Lopez was arrested for Trespass and brought into headquarters for processing. At headquarters, he was found in possession of paraphernalia and was subsequently charged with possession/use of drug paraphernalia.

Sergeant Edgardo Vega, Officers Ryan Dancey, and John Pannone assisted in the investigation.

WANTED PERSON
January 2, 2025, Officer Caleb Alvarado patrolled the area of 2nd St. and Clifton Avenue and recognized Arturo Barraza, 28,  of Brick, N.J. from previous encounters. Dispatch confirmed an active warrant for burglary and Barraza was subsequently arrested.

DRUGS
January 3, 2025, Officer Michael Sheehan responded to the Code Blue location at 201 MLK for a woman needing shelter, where no beds were available. The officer met Megan Murrin, 33, of Lakewood, N.J., and suggested the warming center on First Street. Before transporting Murrin in the police vehicle, the officer conducted a weapons check, which was negative, and inspected the rear of the vehicle, finding no contraband. After Murrin exited the vehicle, the officer observed drug paraphernalia on the floorboard. She was then arrested and charged with possession and use of drug paraphernalia.

Officers Adam Rihacek and Julian Guzman assisted in the investigation.

DRUGS
January 6, 2025, Officer Connor Woods patrolled the area of 2nd St and observed Robert Brown Jr., 52, of Lakewood, N.J. After confirming that Brown had an active Ocean County Warrant, the officer made contact with Brown and he was subsequently arrested. A search conducted during the arrest revealed drugs in his possession leading to charges of drug possession and other related charges.

Officers Gary Weaver, Robert Meyer Jr., Marc Rodriguez, and Tyler Powasnick assisted in the investigation.
