A great way to spend a week with our youth participants this summer for the annual LPD YOUTH POLICE ACADEMY. The LPD youth academy commenced on August 15th till the 19th, with fun-filled exciting daily activities:
- Monday–
Meet the Chief at Headquarters; Bicycle raffle winners; Bicycle/ Pedestrian Safety Rodeo. - Tuesday-
K9 and SRT - Wednesday-
Physical training at OCPA and kickball competition between squads. - Thursday–
Barnegat Lighthouse and Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard - Friday-

The week Program is coordinated by Community Resources and School Resource Officers, Sgt. K. Burdge, SRO Jerome Cohen, SRO Jose Marrero and SRO Stephanie Mahone.
*A big SHOUT OUT to SRO Jerome Cohen, for this being his last youth academy, as he will be retiring the end of this year. We appreciate your 16 years of dedication to the youth academy program. You surely will be missed by all!
