On Monday February 12, 2024 The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners honored the Lakewood Police Department’s Communications  and Bureau of Information Technology Departments for their efforts in the creation of a new box alarm assignment program. This program was years in the making led by Director of Communications and Information Technology Daniel Brower and Police Officer Zachary Hatt. Both were honored with Proclamations for their commitment to enhancing response capabilities which will undoubtedly elevate the Fire Departments ability to serve the community effectively.

Also honored was Communications Supervisor Rhona Trella for her exceptional service and for ensuring the success of this program. Dispatchers Mark Rios and John Iorio accepted a Proclamation on behalf of the entire Lakewood Police Communications Department for their unwavering dedication to advancing the safety and well-being of the Lakewood community.

All individuals were presented with a plaque from Fire Commissioner Harrison Pfeffer and Fire Chief Jonathan Yahr.
