Lakewood Community Coalition organized a vital outreach event on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Redsquare to support the homeless, offering essential services and supplies. The event featured multiple stations to provide care and comfort to those in need.

Lakewood Community Coalition gave away blankets, sheets, and clothes, while IF NOT FOR GRACE offered showers for the homeless. The Ocean County Health Department provided free vaccines, OPERATION RISE (NJSP) provided literature for comprehensive recovery support, and MMCSC’s ER personnel hosted a clothing giveaway. Additionally, a local barber offered free haircuts to help restore dignity and confidence.

Chief Gregory H. Meyer emphasizes the importance of community spirit and compassion in this event, which brings essential resources to those facing difficult times. By mobilizing essential resources, this initiative offers invaluable support to individuals navigating challenging circumstances, reinforcing the bonds that unite us all in times of need.
