FYI- LEXINGTON STRUCTURE FIRE
Just after 4:30 pm yesterday afternoon, The Lakewood Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services and Police Department responded to a reported structure fire at the Lexington Manor Rest Home on 7th Street. Upon arrival, emergency personnel determined that the building was evacuated and fire crews made entry to extinguish a fire located in a first floor room. A member of the emergency medical services sustained a minor injured but was treated and released. The fire was deemed under control just after 5pm and all residents were able to re-enter the facility.
At this time the investigation is being conducted by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office. Details regarding their official determination will be released when available.
