The Lakewood Police Department is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new Public Portal to enhance community engagement and streamline access to important public safety resources. The portal is now live and can be accessed directly at LPDNJ.com.
This new platform serves as a one-stop hub for residents to connect with the department and stay informed. Key features of the portal include:
- Sign-up for Emergency and Community Notifications: Residents can now enroll in our alert system powered by RAVE. Stay informed about emergencies, road closures, and community events by texting LPDNJ to 67283.
- Download Our New Mobile App – LakewoodPD Connect:
LakewoodPD Connect offers features like emergency contact information, online reporting, anonymous tip submission, utility contact listings, and more—all from your mobile device.
- Coming Soon – Lakewood PD Online Store: Our portal will soon host a digital store where visitors can purchase Lakewood Police-branded apparel and merchandise such as t-shirts and hats. Proceeds will benefit local charitable causes and the Lakewood Police Foundation.
This announcement follows the successful launch of our DFR (Drone as First Responder) program earlier this month, a cutting-edge initiative aimed at improving response times and situational awareness during emergency incidents.
The community will also have a chance to learn more about these exciting new resources at our upcoming National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Shoretown Ballpark, home of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. Officers will be on-site with information, demonstrations, and giveaways.
Chief Gregory H. Meyer stated, “Our mission is to strengthen trust and transparency with the Lakewood community. This portal, combined with our new mobile app, is a significant step in making our services more accessible and user-friendly.”
