Lakewood Township and the Department of Recreation are sponsoring Independence Day – known as Fourth of July on Tuesday, July 3 at 7:15 pm. There will be a concert by the Wilbur Wittemann Patriotic Band at the All Wars Memorial Amphitheater, which will be it’s 50th anniversary since it’s construction in 1968.
The sky will be lit with a Firework show commencing at 9:15 p.m., and can be viewed for all to enjoy from North Lake Drive or across the lake on South Lake Drive where bleachers will be set up. Your welcome to bring a lawn chair.
Transportation will be available with Shuttle buses running continuously starting at 6:30 p.m., from the Municipal Building parking lot between Third and Fourth Streets or the Department of Public Works on New Hampshire and Cedar Bridge avenue.
