This year marks the 14th year of our fallen brother Officer William “Nichie” Preslar’s death in the Line-of Duty. He was a six year veteran killed in a car accident on May 14, 2007, on New Egypt Road, when he swerved to avoid striking a deer, and struck a tree. Nichie and his beloved wife Lisa together had two beautiful daughters, Julia, and Gracie.

In 2017 was the unveiling of the highway that was dedicated by The Lakewood Police Department in Nichie’s memory. After the tragic loss, Lisa Preslar, has inspired many through her strength and courage by formally being the President of Garden State C.O.P.S. for 5 years (link: Garden State C.O.P.S.), and participated in the annual Police Unity Tour for 10 consecutive years.

This year marks a memorable ride; Lisa has decided to do a come back and ride with daughter Gracie (18 years old), for her first participation in the annual Police Unity Tour. The two will ride under the umbrella of Chapter 10 Police Unity Tour as bicyclists along with six Lakewood Police Officers, Sgt. T. Delia, Sgt. P. LaRosa, Sgt. K. Martin, Officer S.
