METAL DETECTION TRAINING FOR LAKEWOOD SCHOOL SECURITY OFFICERS

With school starting Friday September 7, 2018, Head of Lakewood School Security (Ret. Lt.) Robert DeSimone coordinated with Lieutenant Robert Shimonovich of the Lakewood Police Training Division to formally train the school security officers in metal detection and school security.

The training was given by School Resource Officer S. Nickens and in attendance were the LPD’s SRO unit and the entire school security staff, since they will be working closely during the school year.
