The Lakewood Police Department, Lakewood Cert (Community Emergency Response Team) , Ocean County Sheriff Department and the Lakewood Emergency Management joined together and teamed up for a one night Basic Self Defense course for Women.  Two classes were held and both were approximately two hours at the Ocean County Police Academy.  The basic course consisted of class room power point and hands-on techniques.
