2nd ANNUAL "CARS FOR A CAUSE" 2023 » Lakewood Police Department

On Sunday, October 29, 2023, the Lakewood Police Benevolent Association (PBA) Local #71 hosted the 2nd annual Fall Auto Show, “Cars for a Cause,” event at ShoreTown Ball Park (Blue Claws). The parking lot was filled with a wide variety of makes and models, all showing off their exquisite curves, lines, and details. Although there was some light rain at the start of the event, the sun eventually came out, and the lot was sparkling with beautifully kept vehicles ready to take home the winning prize(s).

With so many amazing automobiles on display, it was difficult to pick the “Chief’s Choice”. It took a few laps around the lot before Chief Gregory H. Meyer decided. The event was a resounding success, with everything being run professionally, a great turnout, and lots of help. We are already looking forward to future “CARS FOR A CAUSE” events.

The PBA would like to thank the donors who made the event possible and a success. Please see the attached photo for a list of donors. We also want to extend our special thanks to all those who showed up to support the event and made their votes count. The proceeds from the event will be donated to Ocean of Love Toms River and Bikur Cholim of Lakewood.
